pick me ups

I have been feeling so terribly down lately. Maybe its
the lack of sun, lack of confidence, or just flat out
lacking.
I feel knocked down and I've been wanting to hide from the
world in my sunnies everyday this week. I need to get out of this rut!

Solution: Get a new pair of kicks and kick that mood out.
Which pair is you're favorite?

Shine on

I will never ever (ever & ever) leave you
all again! I am back.
I finally moved into my new flat, and though
not everything in my life is magically fixed, I definitely
feel a bit more stable now. I will take photos of the new
pad as soon as I have some more boxes unpacked.
I miss sharing my life and inspiration with you loves
in Paris, Nashville, Tokyo, Denmark, and upstate (I love
you Tersesa!), and all over.

The photos above represent my latest obsession and
inspiration. When I first saw Dries Van Noten f/w 09
collection, Henri Matisse instantly came to mind.
Their color palettes jive perfectly into eachother
and I need these colors in my life.
asap.
I created this story in my mind using the photos I paired
together. It is about a parisian girl who flees to the French
Riviera. She is looking for love, but not in a boy, only in herself.
You can create your own ending for her.

we march on.

Today is March 1st.

I often hear the term "If you believe in what you want,
you'll get what you want," or something like that--but
when I really try hard to believe that it will happen, it
doesn't. Am I not trying hard enough?

heh-heh-helloooo

(sorry the trailer is tiny!)
Party Girl is one of those movies I literally can watch over
& over & over & over again. Beyond her impeccable fashion
taste, and easily relatable situations, this film captures so
many small quirks and moments that leave me constantly
entertained. I completely connect with the ever so charming,
highly disastrous, highly lovable Mary character, played
by Parker Posey.
Her style is sixties mod furs mixed with disco platforms
and late eighties/early nineties bright colors. Shes a walking
Charles Jourdan heel!
